I am a proud Jamaican descendant who code-switches maybe 20 or more times a day.
I initially went to college to do nursing and changed my mind within the first 4 weeks because I already began failing A&P. My goal was to get into anesthesiology.
During my sophomore and junior years in college, my admiration for leadership prompted me to reach out to brands and businesses, seeking social media-related opportunities outside of school.
I began writing articles for The Odyssey Online, crafting e-mail campaigns for Tailored Beauty, and assisting with blogs and PR events for Cocotique. On campus, however, I joined the NAACP chapter as well as NCBW, Building Ladies Up, and Her Campus. As a general member and programming committee member of these organizations, I was joyful to have found a place within my college community while I found myself.
I’m a 2019 SUNY Albany grad…UA, U KNOW!
I enjoy finding new inspiration to fuel my poetry writing, and I perform my work as spoken word.
I’ve been writing since I was around eight or nine…including rap lyrics.
Green will always be my favorite color.
I’m hoping to fulfill my dreams as an actress and producer because those background acting checks just aren’t doing it for me. It’s a fun learning experience though.
I’ve been featured in Wu-Tang on Hulu, Powerbook III, Evil Lives Here, Russian Doll, and more.
I used to krump on YouTube when I was 11, and no. I never got noticed. It’s cringeworthy to even think about it, however, I enjoy reminiscing on the enthusiasm I once had.
Traveling to a new country once a year has been my ultimate life goal since 2016. So far I’ve been graced by the beauty of Aruba, Bermuda, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Cancun, Canada, St. Maarten/Martin, and Anguilla!
Thankfully I’ve kept the imaginative quiddity I’ve had since childhood! I credit my younger self for having such an open mind throughout life and leading me to the woman I’ve become today.
I embody enough wit to make one giggle at a blank screen and enough charm to make anyone ooze confidence in a pair of the world’s weirdest socks. The creative outpour is endless and the proof is in the pudding experience.
